I had a choice, and I chose wrong.
I thought I lost everything. But when the smoke finally cleared, I discovered that I wasn’t alone.
Father Sullivan was a force – a living and breathing force, a forbidden desire I couldn’t resist. I didn’t want to resist.  But I wasn’t the only one who wanted him, and by all accounts neither of us should have him.
I had decisions to make, secrets to uncover. Both would tear my heart, my life, and what was left of my family apart.
I wasn’t going to take any chances this time around. If I’d learned one thing during my life, it’s that death is the only certainty. It’s a matter of when, not if.  For every action, there is a reaction. For every choice, a consequence.
If I hadn’t chosen to live again, I would have never known what life could be like …

Holy mother of books!  I LOVED this book.  I couldn’t put it down.

With The Father is a book that gives you a beautiful story showing how broken people can learn to live and love again, whether it’s by the church, grieving until you’re ready to move on, or just immersing yourself in something else entirely until the pain lessens.

The main characters are flawed and you see that in this book and how those flaws lead them to some choices that may or may not have been the right choice for their life paths.

I love how this story was written and didn’t have to use sex to keep you hooked.  You really wanted to watch how the relationship may or may not grow and pray for the best outcome.  The writing style was impeccable to me and format was laid out very well.  The characters felt like people you know and want to keep knowing.  Finally, the plot – OMG!  It was a more in-depth story that actually had substance and rips through your core at some points.

Towards the end, I found myself re-reading the entire ending because I literally was like “WTF just happened?!”   The ending really may not be for everyone and seems to have ticked several off but to me it’s a different prospective and gives you food for thought.  To me, this is similar to getting different character POV’s or how I’ve seen other authors release books specifically with alternate endings (2 books but you pick your ending).

I would definitely recommend this book but with the warning that the ending isn’t laid out like a typical HEA.
