When the sun disappeared, the world was cast in shadows, hiding the evil that lay in wait. When it was dark, I hunted. The shadows caressed my body as I did things I could never do in the light of day.
Eighteen-year-old Bree Bowen has spent her entire life training and working as one of her father’s assassins. Fear has kept her and her best friend, Wes, under her father’s thumb—until now.
When Wes takes matters into his own hands, securing Bree a new identity and a plane ticket to America, he gives her the one chance she’s been desperately seeking.
Learning to live a new life isn’t easy. Add in her new roommate, Reid, who just happens to be a stripper, and things start to get a little crazy. Falling for a man has never been part of her plan, but she can’t seem to stay away from Reid.
When Bree’s past comes crashing back into her life, secrets that she’s fought to keep hidden are revealed, and she’s forced to choose between Reid and the life she could have with him, or Wes, the one man who has always loved her unconditionally.
Regardless of her choice, she must learn the consequences of sin.
This book will be a standalone.

Once I picked this book up, I literally could not put it down. I got caught up in the story, the characters-watching Bree fight her feelings towards Reid and figure out her feelings towards Wes, the love/hate relationship that she had towards her dad. Seeing the emotions play out in the story-the angst, the fear, the lust, the betrayal, and the forgiveness.
Obviously, by the title of the book and the blurb that KA has released, you get that there is violence in the book but your dealing with two individuals who are both dealing with the demons in both their past and present.
This book definitely kept me turning the pages and guessing on what was going to happen next.
Bree isn’t your typical girl. She was born into a deadly family and began training along with her best friend Wes, to be a part of “the family business” since they were old enough to walk.
Bree resents the life that she is living in London. She hates being a part of “The family business”, but she also fears her father and is unable to stand up to him. That is until she manages to break free and experience what life could truly be like out from under his thumb.
After fleeing London and trying to start her life over, Bree finds herself torn when she realizes that she is unable to deny her attraction to her sexy roommate, Reid, and the best friend that she left behind, whom has always been there for her, watched out for her and loved her.
But things don’t go as smoothly as she had hoped when her life in London suddenly shows up in Dallas and she finds herself and Reid on the run for their lives.
Do you think they will be able to survive the Consequences of Sin?
Consequences of Sin was a great read and I can’t wait to see what comes next from K.A. Robinson.
